Claudeforce is here: Why it’s clever – and the one question about your data

Salesforce and Anthropic announced ‘Claudeforce’ at the end of August. The short version: Claude works directly on your Salesforce data – with pre-built sales skills, in Agentforce, and even in Slack. Marc Benioff is bringing two market leaders together, the ‘#1 AI’ and the ‘#1 CRM.’ And honestly: it’s a clever, logical step.

An agent working on your data makes a lot of sense. They say data is a company’s gold. But without the right treasure map, you won’t find the treasure. Huge treasures lie dormant and unused in the data lakes of most companies – and this is exactly where an AI is strong: it can process this data and present it in the right format.

Digital Sovereignty in Marketing: Why a US Ruling Affects Your Customer Data

A US court ruling undermines the legal basis on which most marketing tools transfer customer data to the USA – digital sovereignty has thus become a concrete issue for Swiss SMEs in 2026, moving from an abstract topic for federal agencies. Two developments are driving this: a ruling from the USA and a development project in Switzerland.

Mautic Insights: The two things that really take effort — and who handles them for you

At its core, Mautic has two things that truly take effort: infrastructure and user interface. Anyone who lumps both criticisms into a blanket statement like “Mautic is complicated” misses the real question: Who handles which part?

Why everyone is raising prices in 2026—and how open-source marketing automation changes the equation

2026 is the year of pricing rounds. Almost every major marketing tool has raised prices, reshuffled packages, or cut discounts. Time for an honest assessment: these are the five most important lessons I’ve taken away for myself over these nine years. And honestly: I wish I’d known them earlier.

Switzerland kicks Microsoft out and now relies on open source

In Switzerland, the topic of digital sovereignty is moving further into the political spotlight this year. At the beginning of July, the Canton of Geneva became the first canton ever to adopt an official digital sovereignty strategy. On the same day, it became known that the Confederation’s cyber specialists are deliberately seeking distance from Microsoft. The City of Zurich is testing “openDesk”, an open-source alternative to Microsoft 365, and in Germany the federal government and the states decided with the “Germany Stack” to make open file formats mandatory from 2028.

The driving force behind it: cutting costs and regaining control. The Confederation and the cantons have spent over 1.1 billion Swiss francs on Microsoft licences over the past ten years. In the City of Zurich, Microsoft costs have quadrupled in just seven years. And with the revised Data Protection Act (revDSG), the question of where data is stored and who can access it is no longer a gut feeling—it’s compliance.
