How much should AI decide for itself? What eight SMEs say about control

Approve every single AI suggestion? With tens of thousands of customers, that’s an impossible amount of work. Not checking anything at all? Unthinkable for medical content. So the question isn’t: human or AI? The question is rather: how much control is needed at which point? This is exactly what eight SMEs told us in our study with the ZHAW and Innosuisse. And we are building our Aivie AI based on this knowledge. This article describes exactly what that looks like.

Data privacy as a selling point: why having your own AI is more than just a requirement

Our study with ZHAW made one thing clear: Swiss SMEs are successfully using data privacy as a selling point today. Customers are increasingly drawn to: “100% of the data stays in Switzerland.” Yet the same customers report using ChatGPT quite carelessly in their private lives. In other words: data privacy matters to everyone, but almost nobody understands it. Many people think a lot about security in certain areas, while unconsciously ignoring it in others. Why this isn’t a contradiction but an opportunity, and why having your own AI is more than just a requirement, is what this article shows.

It wasn’t about data privacy: What eight SMEs think about shared AI

Would you train your AI together with other companies without giving away your customer data? That’s exactly what we asked eight SMEs this summer, together with the ZHAW. You might think the biggest concern would be data privacy. It wasn’t. No one said no. But everyone had concerns. And these concerns are more exciting than any clear “yes.”

Apple’s AI Block in the EU: Who Decides Which AI You Can Use?

Something happened in June that most people dismissed as just another Apple announcement. Apple unveiled its new Siri: the big, truly capable AI version. In the same breath, the corporation said: This won’t be available in the EU. Not a bit later, but indefinitely not at all. At the big Apple event on September 9, a striking number of features carried a small asterisk, indicating: not for the EU and not for China.

Claude meets Salesforce: Why Claudeforce matters for your data

At the end of August, Anthropic and Salesforce deepened their partnership under the name “Claudeforce.” From now on, Claude works directly on your Salesforce data—with pre-built sales skills, in Agentforce, and even in Slack. Specifically, Claudeforce is launching with “Salesforce in Claude,” a plugin with 37 pre-built sales skills. This lets you evaluate revenue context, automate pipeline updates, and trigger actions directly from Claude—meeting preparation, deal health checks, or pipeline reviews, all without opening the Salesforce app. It’s currently running with pilot customers, and the open beta is announced for September.

Marc Benioff is bringing two market leaders together, the “#1 AI” and the “#1 CRM.” And honestly: it’s a clever, logical step. An agent working on your data makes a lot of sense. They say data is a company’s gold—but without the right treasure map, you won’t find the treasure. Huge, unused treasures lie dormant in the data lakes of most companies. This is exactly where an AI is strong: it can process this data and present it in the right format.

But: as soon as an AI tool accesses your CRM data that deeply, a series of questions arise that you shouldn’t skip. What exactly goes out? What is used for training—and what isn’t?

Digital Sovereignty in Marketing: Why a US Ruling Affects Your Customer Data

A US court ruling undermines the legal basis on which most marketing tools transfer customer data to the USA – digital sovereignty has thus become a concrete issue for Swiss SMEs in 2026, moving from an abstract topic for federal agencies. Two developments are driving this: a ruling from the USA and a development project in Switzerland.
