How can I create Meta Audiences from Aivie segments?

With the Aivie Ad Sync plugin, you can connect your segments directly to Meta Ads Manager and use them as Custom Audiences in Facebook and Instagram Ads.

Connect

Requirements

• Aivie Ad Sync plugin is enabled
• Access to Meta Business Manager
• Admin rights for the ad account

Create a Meta app

1. Open https://developers.facebook.com/apps
2. Click Create App
3. Give it a name, e.g. “Aivie Ad Sync”
4. Select the use case:
   Create & Manage Ads with Marketing API
5. Select your Business Portfolio

Configure the Aivie Ad Sync app

1. Go to the Basic settings of your Meta app
2. Copy the Meta App ID and the App Secret
3. Enter these in the Aivie plugin settings
4. Copy the webhook URL from Aivie

Add the OAuth Redirect URL

In Meta, go to:

Facebook Login → Settings

Under Valid OAuth Redirect URIs, enter e.g.:

https://m.aivie.ch/integration/AivieAdSync/callback

Important:

• The URL must match exactly
• HTTPS is required
• No additional slashes

An app review is not required as long as you only use the integration within your own Business account.

Connect Aivie to Meta

1. Open the Ad Sync plugin in Aivie
2. Click Authorize
3. Log in to Meta
4. Confirm the permissions

After a successful connection, Aivie automatically saves the access.

Accept Custom Audience terms

Before the first sync, the terms must be accepted:

Configure Ad Sync settings in Aivie

After connecting, you need to complete the Ad Sync settings.

1. Go to your system settings (gear icon, top right)
2. Find the Ad Sync settings in the left navigation

You need to fill in these fields

Meta ad account ID
The ad account where the Custom Audiences are created.
Format: act_123456789

Meta business ID
Optional. Used to generate direct links to the Audience in Business Manager.

Prefix
Optional. Added before each Audience name to keep things organized.
Example: aivie_high_value_leads_17

Where the leads come from
Indicates where your contact data comes from.
In most cases, select: User provided only

Sync Aivie segments to Meta Audiences

1. Create and open a segment in Aivie
2. Add contacts to the segment
3. Click Sync to Meta
4. Aivie creates or updates a Meta Custom Audience
5. Contacts are transferred in encrypted (hashed) form and matched

Once these settings are in place, you can sync segments to Meta with one click and use them for targeted, personalized campaigns.
