Adrian Schimpf from Aivie is part of the Open Source Community Mautic<\/a>. Mautic is a marketing automation technology. Adrian Schimpf has been working intensively on a new email builder for Mautic in recent months – and has donated the code to the community so that Mautic users worldwide can benefit from it. The technology is used in 188 countries and is available in 35 languages – this now also applies to the new email builder Made in Switzerland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swiss company ranks second in the global community<\/h2>\n\n

With the new email builder for Mautic, company communication can be designed in an even more personalized and dynamic way. With this feature, Aivie is currently ranked second in the community, directly behind the largest provider from the USA, which serves large companies. <\/p>\n\n

Anyone who contributes to the community, who contributes code, is rewarded with a place in the ranking. Simply put, it’s a give and take, and other community members have also supported the email builder project. <\/p>\n\n

Open source, what’s behind it?<\/h2>\n\n

The best-known open source technology for companies is probably WordPress for websites. Similarly, Mautic is an open source project in the field of marketing automation. Open source is characterized by open technology and countless possibilities to take advantage of it. Because open technology means that a maximum of flexibility and integration options are given. Based on Mautic, all touchpoints can be connected to create a seamless customer experience. At the same time, open source offers maximum data protection, because the data can be stored where desired and does not go to a software provider. <\/p>\n\n

How open source is used effectively<\/h2>\n\n

What convinced Aivie of the open source technology is that technology in this way benefits everyone and everyone can participate. This quickly creates synergy effects and more sustainable solutions for companies. Aivie is currently working with partners on better integration with Google and social media ads and on interfaces to offline touchpoints. This is possible because the technology is so flexible. <\/p>\n\n

Advantages and disadvantages of open source technology<\/h2>\n\n

There are also concerns about the use of open source: you have to “get out” for the technical setup or the question arises about service and maintenance.<\/p>\n\n

Among the users of Mautic are also agencies that install the technology for their customers.
