{"id":30186,"date":"2026-04-29T20:27:04","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T18:27:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aivie.ch\/faq\/how-can-i-create-meta-audiences-from-aivie-segments\/"},"modified":"2026-04-29T20:27:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T18:27:12","slug":"how-can-i-create-meta-audiences-from-aivie-segments","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/aivie.ch\/en\/faq\/how-can-i-create-meta-audiences-from-aivie-segments\/","title":{"rendered":"How can I create Meta Audiences from Aivie segments?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With the Aivie Ad Sync plugin, you can connect your segments directly to Meta Ads Manager and use them as Custom Audiences in Facebook and Instagram Ads.<\/p>\n\n<!--more-->\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connect<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aivie Ad Sync plugin is enabled<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to Meta Business Manager<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Admin rights for the ad account<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create a Meta app<\/h3>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/apps<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Create App<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give it a name, e.g. &#8220;Aivie Ad Sync&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the use case:<br\/><strong>Create &amp; Manage Ads with Marketing API<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select your Business Portfolio<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configure the Aivie Ad Sync app<\/h3>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to the Basic settings of your Meta app<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy the <strong>Meta App ID<\/strong> and the <strong>App Secret<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter these in the Aivie plugin settings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy the webhook URL from Aivie<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Add the OAuth Redirect URL<\/h3>\n\n<p>In Meta, go to:<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Facebook Login \u2192 Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Under <strong>Valid OAuth Redirect URIs<\/strong>, enter e.g.: <\/p>\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>https:&#47;&#47;m.aivie.ch\/integration\/AivieAdSync\/callback\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n<p>Important:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The URL must match exactly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HTTPS is required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No additional slashes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>An app review is not required as long as you only use the integration within your own Business account.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connect Aivie to Meta<\/h3>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the Ad Sync plugin in Aivie<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Authorize<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log in to Meta<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm the permissions<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>After a successful connection, Aivie automatically saves the access.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accept Custom Audience terms<\/h3>\n\n<p>Before the first sync, the terms must be accepted:<\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/business.facebook.com\/ads\/manage\/customaudiences\/tos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/business.facebook.com\/ads\/manage\/customaudiences\/tos<\/a><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configure Ad Sync settings in Aivie<\/h2>\n\n<p>After connecting, you need to complete the Ad Sync settings.<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to your system settings (gear icon, top right)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find the Ad Sync settings in the left navigation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You need to fill in these fields<\/h3>\n\n<p><strong>Meta ad account ID<\/strong><br\/>The ad account where the Custom Audiences are created.<br\/>Format:  <code>act_123456789<\/code><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Meta business ID<\/strong><br\/>Optional. Used to generate direct links to the Audience in Business Manager. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Prefix<\/strong><br\/>Optional.
