Wenn eine personalisierte E-Mail (z.B. Ansprache mit Vorname) versendet wird und der Kontakt nur mit der E-Mailadresse im Aivie hinterlegt ist, bleiben die Platzhalter für die fehlenden Daten, wie Vorname oder Nachname, leer. Das führt zu einer unvollständigen Ansprache, z. B. „Hallo ,“ anstelle von „Hallo Adrian,“.
Um dies zu vermeiden, kannst du in Aivie eine Fallback-Option einrichten, die standardmässig einen anderen Wert wie „Freund“ oder „Hallo“ einfügt, wenn Vorname oder Nachname fehlen.
Wie richte ich einen Fallback in Aivie ein?
- E-Mail öffnen: Gehe zu der E-Mail, die du bearbeiten möchtest.
- Variable verwenden: Setze die Variable, z. B. für den Vorname
{contactfield=firstname}
. - Fallback hinzufügen: Falls der Vorname fehlt, wird dann „Freund“ angezeigt, und die E-Mail beginnt z. B. mit „Hallo Freund,“. Nutze diese erweiterte Syntax, um einen Fallback-Wert zu definieren:
Hallo {contactfield=firstname|Freund}
- Speichern und testen: Teste die E-Mail, um sicherzustellen, dass der Fallback funktioniert.
Diese Methode stellt sicher, dass deine E-Mails immer eine vollständige und freundliche Ansprache haben, selbst wenn nicht alle Daten im Profil des Empfängers vorhanden sind.
Die Absenderadresse einer E-Mail (angezeigter Name und E-Mail-Adresse) wird auf drei Arten beeinflusst:
- Standard-Absender:in in den Einstellungen
- Für jede E-Mail einzeln
- Kontakt Inhaber:in/Owner
Damit der Ruf deiner Absender Domain nicht leidet, werde Kontakte, von denen die E-Mail-Adresse nicht existiert, oder die deine E-Mails nicht erhalten möchten, automatisch mit einem “Do Not Contact” (DNC) versehen.

In the Campaignyou can choose the time of sending your email. Either immediately, at a relative time or you can also select a specific date and time.
In the period in which the e-mail is “Published”, it is also sent to all contacts who are added to the segment. It may make sense to set the unpublished date in 1-2 weeks. You should plan at least 2-3 hours lead time, then the emails will certainly have enough time to be sent. However, this always depends on the number of your contacts.
The new Template Settings feature allows you to change basic settings of your email.

With Aivie you can send your e-mails to mailtrap.io test.
You can test send your emails to your segment, but the emails will end up in the test box and not with your contacts. Here’s how you can check them.
If you want to use the email in Campaign later on, you can simply clone it and make it a Campaign.
Here’s how:
- You create your own mailtrap account.
- In your Aivie settings you can turn on Mailtrap test mode and link to Mailtrap.
- You can find the Mailtrap username and password in Mailtrap in your inbox under the credentials.
- Once you have set the test mode, you can send your email to your segment as usual. The email will not arrive at your contacts, but in Mailtrap, where you can check it.
- When you are satisfied with your email, you can turn off the test mode again and send it as usual. Note: Segment emails can only be sent once per segment. So either clone email or change segment.
If a contact has already received an email marked as a marketing email, Aivie remembers it and it is not sent again.
