How do I create a contact preference settings page for a newsletter?

You can create a “one contact preference settings page” by marking a landing page accordingly.

This is an example of an “Update Settings” page, i.e. a Preference Center page:

Create Preference Center Page

Create a new landing page and then select “Set as preference center page” under the landing page settings

You can now design your individual page using the landing page builder. You can find out how to do this in detail on Mautic.

However, you will probably want to use at least the following tokens:

Landing Page TokenDescription
{leadidentifier}Name of the contact
{segmentlist}A list of all public segments / topics for which the contact can subscribe or unsubscribe
{channelfrequency}Whether and how often the contact would like to be contacted
{saveprefsbutton}The button to save
{successmessage}The location where the confirmation message should be displayed when the contact has pressed Save.

In Aivie’s example, we have also included a form where the contact can update his/her data. A form can be integrated via the token {form=ID}.

Use Preference Center Page

In your e-mails and newsletters you can add the following URL {unsubscribe_url} as a link for “Update settings” and “Unsubscribe”.

Note that this is not necessary when using the standard page provided by Aivie.
