How can the sender address of an e-mail be changed?

The sender address of an e-mail (displayed name and e-mail address) is influenced in three ways:

  1. Default sender:in in the settings
  2. For each e-mail individually
  3. Contact owner:in/Owner

Customize the default sender in the email settings

If nothing else is set, the e-mail and the name specified under Settings > Configuration > E-mail settings will be used.

Individual settings for the sender address can be made for each email in the “Advanced” tab. These are then only active for the selected email. This means that the default settings continue to apply for all other emails.

To do this, open the email for editing and click on the “Advanced” tab to make the settings:

Holder:in/Owner as sender:in

The third option that has an influence on the sender address is the contact owner. If an owner (account manager) is entered on the contact and the option “Owner as Mailer” is specified, then all emails are sent in this name and with this email address.
